NEW ZEALAND

New Zealand

New Zealand is a country on the edge of the world, the home of the hobbits and one of the best countries to live in all ratings. These are beautiful mountains, blue transparent lakes, forests of the Jurassic period, volcanoes and geysers. A place where people, penguins and seals calmly exist side by side and absolutely do not interfere with each other. This is really the perfect place for a dream trip! It was with this thought that the preparation for the trip began.

So New Zealand, what do we know about her? The main territory of the country is located on two islands: the Southern Alps are located on the southern island and the highest point of the island is Mount Cook (3754 m); the northern island is warmer, there are main pastures and green hilly meadows. The country's population is 4.5 million people (less than in Kiev), most of whom live in two cities: Wellington (the capital) and Auckland (the largest and most populous city in the country).

Send a bit of a long flight and change of time zone, rented a car and went to see the beauty. The roads of New Zealand, by the way, are worthy of the highest praise. Through lakes Javea and Wanaka left on the coast of the Tasman Sea. Big waves, black sand, huge seagulls sitting on stones and calmly contemplating the sea - an impressive sight!
We crossed the island from west to east along a beautiful road through a pass in the Southern Alps
and drove to the Pacific coast. On the way, we met Kia parrots who go after people and beg for food.
We recommend not to be “led” to their requests: they become lazy and do not want to get food on their
 own.

Along the coast of the Pacific Ocean we reached the edge of the southern island. Seals on the way, seals
have eclipsed all the delight of the scenery. Just in the middle of a small town, on the rocky coast, these
cute creatures crawl out to bask in the sun and sleep. And people do not interfere with them at all!

From one island to another can be reached by ferry through a very beautiful bay. Three hours of travel fly by.
Brief advice for those who are going to New Zealand:
It should be borne in mind that everything closes early. At 20:00 close reception in most hotels and motels. Cafes and restaurants are open until 18:00 (with the exception of large cities). Pubs and bars open late. New Zealand cuisine is a mix of English and American: puddings, burgers, french fries and large portions. It is very safe here. You can leave the phone on the bench, and no one will take it. People are kind and responsive, but their focus is difficult to understand, especially on the South Island.
In this country you fall in love already from the window of the plane. Every
minute you smile, wonder and do not believe your own eyes. If there is even
a tiny opportunity to visit New Zealand, do not miss this chance. And if the
opportunity is not there, create it and fly to New Zealand! Believe me,
it's worth it.

Latvia

Latvia as a whole is known far less than its capital, Riga, or the most popular resort city of Jurmala. Many people know Riga as the largest city in the Baltic States with a huge number of architectural monuments belonging to completely different eras. Here and the Dome Cathedral, which was built in 1211 and which houses one of the most famous organs in the world, and the Peter Church with a 120-meter tower, the central silhouette of a huge number of postcards with views of the city, and the whole area of incredible beauty of houses made in Art Nouveau . By the way, it is estimated that 40% of buildings in the center of Riga are built in art nouveau style, which is more than in any other European city. But Riga and Jurmala are just a small part of the beauty that will open before the eyes of a traveler who has decided to travel inland. Knightly castles, palaces of barons and small manor houses remained throughout Latvia. Jelgava, the capital of the Duchy of Courland, or Ru

Sigulda

The town of Sigulda is another of the interesting places to visit in Latvia and an excellent destination if you plan to enjoy outdoor activities as it is within driving distance of the majestic Gauja National Park which is just 10 minutes drive west of Sigulda. Turaida Museum Reserve is home to the Turaida Castle which is a beautifully restored medieval castle which also offers amazing views of the Gauja Valley. You’ll also find at the reserve, Folk song Park which boasts interesting sculptures of Latvian folk song heroes.
